Happy Canada Day!

Hope you don't mind some sparklies on the screen. I decided this might be a little flashy for my blog, so I used a different image I found on Photobucket. LOL

A mostly relaxing day so far. The boys were hyper after snacktime and getting on my nerves ;) but they were great outside. It'll be nice when they can just ask to go out instead of driving me crazy and making me desperate for peace, hee hee.

I've done some writing (by hand so far, forgot to bring out my MP3 player to dictate, but I do love the feel of the pen I'm using) and a little reading while I ate lunch (still outside). We came in for stories and naptime, but I gave the added bonus of freezies (with Splenda, so not too naughty of a treat) before I made sure they had dry bottoms. Tim seems fixated on the tiny board books we got Ben for Christmas, a set of 12 that divide up the plots from Toy Story and its sequel. I read two of those and then provided variety with The Cat in the Hat (which I don't remember ever reading, strange as that seems). I might have to try that trick more often because Tim will go through phases of liking certain books and his mother gets bored of reading the same thing...

Better go fetch ground beef from the freezer to make hamburgers for supper. Should have done it yesterday, but I was less organised than I should have been and I'll blame all the time spent at the hospital. ;) And maybe we'll watch a movie tonight. :)
