I'm thankful for more food in the deep freeze than I expected to find (meaning grocery shopping can wait), cute kids who liked the parade and a dog show after it, "Miracle on 34th Street" on TV and a yummy lunch of leftovers.
We don't have a big meal today, but I'm planning on BBQ chicken breasts and fried rice. Yum yum!
I'm not going shopping tomorrow but I suppose I could check the online Black Friday deals in case there's anything we'd be wanting. I'll get Ben's birthday gifts next week and then Hubby and I will do the Christmas shopping together when there's an opportunity. (He's a late shopper, so I do anything for my family on my own ahead of time. This year I'm doing homemade gifts instead.)
Thanks Becca for the Thanksgiving wishes. And Happy "Late" Thanksgiving to you and your family.(is my memory correct that Canada has already celebrated it earlier?)
What are you thankful for today?
--I am thankful for God, my family and my friends
What are you having for the big meal?
--Since my brothers couldn't make it my folks didn't have a meal at their house. Instead the 3 of us cooked 2 Turkeys, stuffing and gravy to take to their church Thanksgiving potluck. It was a lot of fun to see people I hvaen't seen in a while.(I use to go to the church my folks are now going to.)
Going shopping tomorrow?
--Heck No. Even if I did have money I wouldn't do it. LOL
Happy Thanksgiving all! Becca, it was nice of you to start the thread since your Thanksgiving was in October, LOL.
We had a wonderful day. We went to my sister's house and a bunch of family was there. We had a delicious turkey meal (all the normal sides!) and then afterwards we got to shoot guns because they live in the country and we all have guns. My kids were thrilled, LOL.
I didn't get up early to go shopping but I went late morning. We got some good deals. DH is still out shopping!!
I am thankful for EVERYTHING!!!! I am learning this year to be thankful for everything I have and that comes into my life. So I am.
Yep, we were early. I think that has to do with earlier harvest times here? Can't remember, but I should look it up sometime. We had a good time with our yummy turkey dinner and homemade apple pie.
The potluck sounds great! I'm glad you had plenty of company for the holiday.
I hear you on the shopping with all those crowds! I'm glad I can shop during the week most of the time because even weekend crowds at normal times of the year are a bit much!
What are you thankful for today?Thankful for my family...Both sons were here with all our grandkids, my folks, and hubbys mom...Thankful for all we have...
What are you having for the big meal? Typical turkey and sides, and lots of pie..:)

Glad it was a great day and you got your shopping in without getting up while it was still dark. ;)
Amen on being thankful for everything! Not the easiest lesson to learn, but boy does it make a difference!
