Yay for time with family! And I'm so glad God provided spiritual food as well. :)

We had a good day. Although we couldn't make it to one of the grandparents house because of the snow we were able to make it to the second grandparents house. It was a nice family dinner. We then went over to our home group leaders house. They were having an open door to anyone who wanted to come. We got some major prayer and worship. Exactly what we needed at the time.

Glad you all survived the day. I think I can understand a little about the problems with Caleb even though Tim's only 3 - he can be sweet and cute, but boy is there willfulness showing up. Some days attitude is all I seem to get!

I bet those OT earnings will come in handy when you're dealing with the Christmas shopping. I think all the talk on iVillage and Facebook is making me understand Black Friday more than ever before. I like the idea of getting the shopping done way before the holiday so there's plenty of time to visit, have Christmas parties, etc. but I would never want to stand in lines and shop in crowds like that!

Speaking of that, we're going to come up with some ideas on paper before we get to the stores soon to shop together for the boys. If we don't see what we wanted and it's available online without excessive shipping, that's how we'll get the items. Otherwise, I guess we need alternative ideas. My side of the family is covered and Hubby's researched the gift for his mum (a webcam) so we're probably doing fairly well compared to our usual pace. ;)

We had a pretty good day...it could have been a little less hectic if we had done some prep work last night & if DH had not decided to try to fix the heater as soon as we put the turkey in the oven.

I started off the day with a bit of cleaning after breakfast. I'd turned on the TV in case Tim would be interested in the Macy's parade, but I had an audience of two little boys when I turned on the shower hose to wash the dog. :) My eyes are tired today, so I did take a nap when Ben wanted one. Normally I'm fine and writing during that time. Ah well.

After the nap I made my first pot of tea for the day and looked up muffin recipes for something a little different - usually we have muffins on hand for Hubby's work breakfast and snacks for everyone else, and I cycle between applesauce, blueberry and chocolate chip or banana. This time I found a recipe with applesauce, banana and chocolate chips! Have yet to taste it but they look a little odd, maybe because they're brown sugar only and oatmeal as well, so they're dark and lumpy. LOL

I recorded the National Dog Show in case Hubby wants ti see it later, though I was disappointed to see they didn't show the toller being inspected in the sporting group, just in the line-up when the group was introduced. Guess that's why it's good to watch the Westminster Kennel Club when it's shown over two nights and not edited like that... ;)

Now I'm indulging in my recently added tradition - watching "Miracle on 34th Street" on TV even though I have my own copy. :) It marks the beginning of Christmas movie watching for me each year. I think I started it a couple years when I realised it was an NBC Thanksgiving staple. I'm not sure why, but it pleases so much that they show the original B&W, not a funny, washed-out colour-added-later version. ;)

Have to check what's on hand for supper. I was thinking of fried rice with the rib leftovers from yesterday's supper. I have a meal plan but I'm not treating it as law if I feel like making something else on the plan and have the ingredients so there's no extra shopping needed.

Will hopefully watch another Harry Potter movie this evening, maybe two if there's time. My mum might be able to take the boys this weekend for a matinee showing, so I'd want to finish off watching the rest of the series again. Otherwise maybe we can see it on the 4th or 5th if MIL is free to babysit then.

Only 350 words written so far today. Best get cracking if the boys will stop fighting over the same toy... ;)
