Good Morning Beautiful Ladies -

I hope this note finds all of you well. I am doing well. I know it's been a while since I have been around. I can't remember the last time I updated y'all.

In March I was diagnosed with Epilepsy. Between the middle of March to the middle of April I spent in the hospital trying to get the epilepsy under control. Fast forward till now........I am now 63 days seizure free!!! Thanks to God and the medication I am on!  As long as I stay seizure free I can get my drivers license back on November 1st.

Coming up this Sunday will be 2 months since my divorce was final.

Yesterday I was granted social security/disability. This is a huge answer to prayer.

I am still living in my mobile home that I have been living in for that last 5 years. My dog Lelu is doing great. She is now my Service Dog, so I can take her everywhere with me. I had to find a new home for Freedom and Potter(2 of my kitties). I just wasn't able to clean the sandbox anymore and they shed so much and Lelu is so allergic to cat hair. It was a good thing. They went together with the same family. The 14 year old girl was so excited and the kitties seems to really like her right away. I still have Mitzy, but she spends more time outside than she does inside.

I am staying active in church and also a women's bible study once a week at another church.  I want to find some place to volunteer at near where I live. I live right in downtown. So I am sure I can find somewhere. I would really love to volunteer at  the Cat Haven Rescue place, but the closest bus stop is a half mile from the place on a busy highway, so that would not be good.

Well, I have written a HUGE book. Sorry about that. I miss y'all deeply. Now that I have internet back( haven't had it for over 6 months) hopefully I will be able to be on more.

Hi Jen, great to see you.  So sorry about the diagnoses, but huge praises for getting them under control.  Prayers that you remain seizure free!

Sorry you had to get rid of the kitties.  But I am happy to hear they have a new loving home, with a little girl to spoil them rotten.  I'm sure they are extremely happy there.

I know how you feel about wanting to volunteer somewhere.  As soon as both of my kids are in school full time, that is my plan.  I would love to volunteer at the animal shelter.  I'm just afraid I will bring home more pets.

I hope to see you around more!!

How did you survive without Internet for 6 mos?! :smileywink::smileywink:

So happy to see you back here! I'm so glad the doctors were able to give you a diagnosis. That in itself is a relief. Woo hoo for so long without seizures! And I have to smile at Lelu being a service dog. I bet she loves that she doesn't have to be separated from you when you go out!

I'll be praying for a volunteer opportunity for you closer to home!

Many, many hugs!

Hi Jen!!

This is such a good way to go into the weekend... I was just thinking of you last night, wondering how you were doing and lo and behold, here you are!!

I'm so sorry you've had such a rough time, but it's great news that you've been able to get the epilepsy under control. And yay on the granted disability; that alone is sure to take a lot of stress off of you.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend and it's great to see you back in action!

Hi Cindy -

It's good to see you!!! Yeah, that was my fear when I signed up to work at the cat shelter, but I asked them to help me and if I asked to bring on home to told the adoption coordinator to tell me no. LOL And she said she could do that for me!!! So I got people on the inside helpe me out (If I am able to get back out there to volunteer)!

Thanks for continued prayers! They are always needed.

Hello Miss Becca -

Thanks for all the prayers. I am so sorry I never responded to your last e-mail that you sent me. I think now you know why, cause I was without internet for so long. I do feel really bad I never got it until now.  It was very  hard for me to survive with out.  It wasn't just internet, it was also TV (which I still don't have). I am just watching the DVD's that Ihave. It has been killing me not being able to watch the Olympics. My mom has been recording things for me. Which I am thankful for.

Lelu loves just getting out and about and meeting new people. It so cute the workers in the stores try to give her doggies treat, but with all her allergies she just can't have any old treat and then the workers feel so bad. But it's really cute. And the people around town are so nice. They always ask if they can pet her and of course I say yes and she just jumps in their laps and gives them lots of kisses.
