Did you have a good weekend? Time enough with your family? Did you read at all?

I had a lazy start to my Saturday, but was on the road with the boys by 11:30. We had a small amount of grocery shopping to do before arriving at my parents' place, then had lunch there. As the boys were finishing their food, I prepared a turkey for roasting. My older sisters weren't free for another three hours, but I enjoyed a quiet afternoon with my parents. The boys played, Ben got in a nap and Tim played more... I took care of basting the turkey and before we knew it, the house was full of people and yummy food. Didn't matter that Canadian Thanksgiving was two weeks ago (the 11th), we took advantage of being together. Got the boys home about 90 mins past their usual bedtime, but I think they loved the day. I did! :)

Today there was laundry to do, but we did make time to go out looking for a TV stand with doors - Ben climbs up ours and wants to turn off the game consoles, VCR, DVD player, etc. Nothing suitable was in the stores we went to, so we'll look online and hope we don't need to use the baby gate to keep Ben out of the living room most of the day, every day... We watched a movie on TV in the afternoon (How She Move from 2007), then a few shows. Now we're watching another movie, a 2006 miniseries with David Carradine. So far I'd say it's okay, but not great. I might read a bit more of Scandal Sheet (Gemma Halliday) that I started this afternoon, though it's not hooking me so far. Also have the sorting of the laundry...

I had a pretty lazy weekend. Church was awesome this moring. I didn't get much reading done. I am trying to figure out my schedule for the upcoming high school wrestling season. I am going to have 7 girls this year and I am so excited. We were also blessed

I worked until 2pm on Saturday, the boys had gone to a football game with my brothers, so DH wanted to go out on a date while they were occupied.

Yay for your wrestling team! I'm trying to remember how many you had last year - five or six?

Another yay for the convention!

I'm finding that even though we've been too sick as a family to attend social gatherings, especially church, God has provided well for my needs - three Christian iVillage boards to haunt, Christian radio stations, Bible readings online... He's definitely not leaving me isolated. ;)

Now to get us all healthy enough that the boys can play with other kids. If they were older, I bet they'd have their own social connections online... ;)

Your date sounds like a lot of fun!

Hubby's first project when we moved last November was to dig holes for fence posts, then get a fence up before the ground froze.

I missed quite a bit of "Undercover Boss" because Ben's teething and it seemed easiest to give him bathtime to improve his mood after supper. I did have the VCR recording, so maybe I'll check it out today!

Hope that wedding is a great time for you two to connect. Hubby and I tend to share both jokes and "sappy" moments when we're at a wedding or even watching one on a TV show. :)

Glad you had good reading time. I've got to get Dear Pen Pal soon!
