Did you get a chance to relax or were you a busy bee? Highlights to share?

I managed to catch up yesterday. Whew! It was mostly sorting since I'd had time on the weekend to wash but not put away.

I'm a bit behind on laundry here. I will probably get it all caught up tomorrow.

I'm sorry your Saturday morning was tough. Aw to a really small puppy! Should try our kitty's collar again and maybe he won't be able to get it off himself. ;)

Your Sunday sounds awesome! :)

I didn't get enough sleep Friday night, just couldn't wind down, so getting up before 5am to be to work at 6 was not fun!! Worked until noon, did some grocery shopping, came home & vegged -- reading, computer & phone calls. We ate leftovers, or whatever was in the cupboards for dinner. I took Levi to get a collar for the puppy - had to get a kitty collar cuz he is so small, yet. Sunday we woke up late & were moving slow, I had to get stuff ready for the picnic/BBQ at the park with my bro. We wound up not making it to church or Sunday school...the weather was perfect for our day at the park!! It had been very windy for a few days & rained quite a bit on Saturday, but Sunday was wonderful. We got home from the park about 6:30 & had been munching all day...chips, salsa, ribs, pizza, hot dogs, tri tip, spinach salad, hash brown casserole, fruit salad, cupcakes...no need for dinner. Pretty nice relaxing weekend, I'd say. Oh, we went out for dinner Friday night to the Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & beer restaurant -- yum!!

I was lazy... So I suppose you'd call that relaxing! BIL and SIL came over mid-afternoon Sunday and DH and BIL dug up plants (filled the back of BIL's) pickup so he could garden... Otherwise...

Saturday was mostly lazy at our house. Hubby and I didn't feel up to our best, but he took the boys to the park as planned and I stayed home to clean the kitchen and then read. Hubby phoned just before it started raining, not wanting to walk back since it's so slow with the boys and his energy was disappearing. We got in the door just before the rain, so that was good. :) Wanted to watch the Muppets movie but it wasn't working, so we chose a cheesy Netflix family movie (Princess and the Pony). After the boys were in bed, we caught up on a TV show and then discovered new seasons of The Guild on Netflix, so we got to watch Season 5 finally. Geeky shows are fun! :)

Sunday was church, late lunch and then a car ride to visit my parents and Mum's oldest sister, who was in town for a little visit. We stayed for supper, so the boys were in bed a bit late and so tired after playing hard. :)

Today I've cleaned the kitchen after missing yesterday's cleanup times, have laundry half done and sorted through old toys for donation. We have a few things to do at Wal-Mart and I'm making roast chicken for dinner! It's raining, so we have a hyper kitty inside. I may be sending him outside if there's a break in the weather. LOL

I've thought about trimming our lilacs, but it isn't because of any neighbours - our yard is an "island lot, so no yards up against it, just a road around the property. Lots of people like to use the outside of the yard for parking. Anyway, I'm excited for the lilacs to bloom again, very lovely!

Yay for reading time yesterday after the visiting! Boo to the computer having to be repaired. I'd be free labour for you if I lived nearby - Hubby and I have fixed our family's computers several times to save them money.

Today's also laundry day here. I threw a load in last night, but it needs sorting and there was already one load to sort before that. *Blushing*

I'm sorry you weren't able to get to church. I hope JJ isn't feeling too yucky with the pink eye. I can't remember whether it hurts or is just annoying, but I do remember waking up as a kid with that condition.

Hooray for a grace period so you can finish the book without a charge. I'm pretty sure our library has the same thing, though I know there isn't the same period for movies - $1 a day late charge! Yikes!
