I don't have an iPhone but I thought this was so awesome, I wanted to pass it along to any of you who may, especially if you have kids learning to read. Check out these Learn-to-Read Apps for Kids; I would so have loved to have had this when my kids were little!

That would be very cool. I don't have an iPhone either. Wonder if I can find something similar for the PC?

I decided to dig around a bit and found that I can borrow the Bob Books that one of the apps is based on. I'm going to try the alphabet and pre-reading skills sets with Tim because I think he's at the right age.

(And maybe by the time the kids are both in school, we'll have a smartphone in the house. LOL)

Awesome! Let me know how he likes them; I'm always looking for things like this for my grandkids. My DIL did have an iPhone for a while, but she decided to go with a basic cell to economize a while back.

I'm thinking an HTC if I get a smartphone. Actually, my husband's recent MP3 player purchase is almost like one, even uses VOIP for phone calls if you want! I'd definitely take the current model if he wants to get the next one when it's released. I don't make many phone calls on my (emergency) cell, anyway!
