Angie, I found Land Girls at my library! They have all three seasons, though it felt a bit too soap-opera for me after the first episode so I probably won't sign out another.

Maybe that assessment is just a reflection of my mood, not very energetic today and a headache lingering. I'm starting the 2008 Sense & Sensibility mini-series this afternoon for something more my style. ;) (I skipped the intro before the credits since it's more sensual than needed and the book doesn't even begin until the post-credits scene... Otherwise, this is my favourite S&S adaptation so far.)

I started knitting a new project last night using the leftover yarn I'd begun with when learning my first stitches. I think there might be enough for a rectangle I can stitch together as a pouch for my glasses (and sunglasses if I order new contacts soon). I may have mentioned in February's LTP that I initially thought yesterday of using the yarn for a double-layer coaster, but I wondered later in the day if a knit coaster is as practical. Might still try that at some point, but I really could use something cute to store my glasses in since they just end up on the kitchen counter most nights. And practise with my stitches is always a good thing!

Almost time to walk to the school to meet Tim. He's usually excited to see Ben and me at the end of the schoolday, but I wonder if there's ever some disappointment when the teacher mentions it's the weekend and she'll see the kids again on Monday. Poor kid must be torn between the opporunity to spend more time with his dad and the desire to play with his friends some more! Meanwhile Ben asks almost every day about going to preschool (though his current program is a weekly one) though I suspect the draw for him is the abundance of toys and not the people.

So glad you found it. It is a bit soap opera-ish. There were some good history in a few episodes...but mostly it is about the girls and relationships. Once I got started, I had to finish it. ;) Making something for your glasses sounds like a great idea. Great way to practice. Hope Tim had a great day at school!

We decided to spend the day at home. Dh needed to do the taxes and we are worn out from laying the tile floor. Dh will go back next week and grout it. I will go back and do more packing. I worked on laundry. I have folded three loads and hung up two. My friend came over and we practiced our tunisian crochet stitches. Very fun! Off to eat dinner....pork chops, mac & cheese and veggies.

One thing that helped me when I wanted to stop watching soaps was to resolve the plots with my own endings. Sometimes I still do that when a show is cancelled without sufficient wrap-up!

Tim got in a bit of trouble for playing in mud at recess, then his school day seemed to go downhill. I think the teacher should have been more understanding that he's a young boy playing outside and he's gonna get dirty, plus she didn't ask whether I care about having to do a little laundry (and I don't); however, he does need to be better with accepting when he's told not to do something and not let it affect the entire day... (Whew, long sentence!)

Getting things done at home sounds like a good change. Nice to have someone with you while you crochet. :) We had pizza for supper, started out as a take-and-bake pepperoni and I turned it into a meat lover's with more toppings. :D

I was so tired last night that I went to bed super-early. I needed it! Today was quiet: a little time in the backyard during which I snuck in a bit of reading, and I also managed to do some editing (both audio and written, woo hoo!). And we have a family lunch date after church tomorrow. :D

I made it to church this morning and felt just a bit tired, but after our lunch out, I was wiped. Took a nap and now we're taking it easy. I hope I have more energy tomorrow!
