Angie, hope the storm didn't do much damage and you're feeling better. I forget that changes in pressure can affect our bodies, but I used to have migraines in bad weather, so I send sympathetic hugs.

Ruth, so glad to see you back! :D I'm glad you had a good trip and made it back before all that snow. We've had a little bit over the past few days but it's warm enough that it tends to melt away without my having to shovel. ;) Today it's all slushy but I still want to get out for a walk to the library, if I can convince Ben to leave the house. (Like his mother, he is often difficult to get out of homebody mode, but he enjoys himself while he's away!)

My only niece turned 11 yesterday! That was a big deal back in the day for me, always loved the number 11, and an uncle persuaded my mum I was responsible enough for pierced ears so that event occurred a couple weeks after my 11th birthday. Now lots of mums pierce baby ears, so it's not a rite of passage. LOL

Ben is in a stage requiring supervision while colouring (resulting in a fabric chair needing a good cleaning soon) and I've brought out a small desk/easel and corresponding stool. He loves the idea so far, but will eventually be annoyed again that he can't get to the crayons whenever he wants...

I was planning to start some slippers next for knitting, but last night I felt like trying one more washcloth pattern from About.com, where I've been finding some help while learning to knit. This one is a "broken rib" and I think it's going to look neat. I'm making it smaller than indicated but I think my needles are also a size up so less stitches cast on might not be that much smaller in the end... Anyway, I like these small projects for the confidence to finish things, a problem that I have when I get into something new. Guess I need to learn to tackle small stuff and build up my attention-span. ;) ;)

Forgot to hit Post after this morning message:

Ben was watching shows from Netflix while I did my computer tutoring (and learned a couple things while teaching LOL) but I managed to switch to one of the radio stations available through our satellite TV package. I keep forgetting that they have a Christian one (Galaxie's The Light) but it's been on when I go to book club with one of the church ladies, so I thought of it rather than kids' music (Galaxie Kids). Usually I'm playing Air1 throughout the day, or something from our large music collection on the desktop. (Just got two Lecrae CDs to check out based on one or two songs heard on Air1.)

Now you're all caught up! ;)

Sounds like a great trip! Glad you beat the heavy snowfall. Wow, 10 inches! We didn't get any of the snow here! :( My kiddos were disappointed!

Great idea to set up a coloring area! The dishcloth sounds great....I still love to do smaller projects in between bigger ones for that completed satisfaction factor! :)
