It felt chilly in the backyard for the outdoor portion of our egg hunt, but it's supposed to get to mid-60's F this afternoon. I'm anticipating the weather to take a turn one of these weeks and we'll have rain for quite a while to make up for all this sunshine. ;)

Meanwhile I need to do some row-counting for the slippers I've started for myself. I left the project for several days and don't have markers, so it's time to count and then add them to make it easier on myself if I leave them alone again. ;) I'm not sure about the yarn I picked, but maybe the pattern itself will be a keeper. I did find others along my travels for free patterns, so there are plenty of options for future pairs of slippers.

Last night I started a knit dishcloth, this time for a friend. (I could use more, of course, but it's time to start producing a pile for gifts!) Once I'm done, I have colours picked out to make slippers for the boys, just need to measure their feet since I found a simple pattern that's adapted by length. The boys are loving the idea, though they are more likely to take their socks off inside the house. I wonder if I should be making their slippers a bit longer than their feet so they can keep them longer before I make more?

I love the Princess Diaries movies! We have been watching the trailer and clips about the new GI Joe movie. I think it will be a date night selection! :)

Yay for two apple tress and the plum tree! DH wants to plant two apple trees in our yard. I have been thinking about plums and cherries as well. My friend has quite a few peach trees and she is graciously offered to share. :)

Yay for Tim practicing his bike riding! Hope you were able to catch a movie and do some knitting! I am knitting a vintage baby bonnet for shower gift.

I love blueberries! We planted both our bushes today and our container blueberry plant. I am hoping to get enough blueberries for smoothies! :)

We watched Princess Diaries 2 last night since I'd recently watched the first movie (for the bazillionth time, hee hee). I also tracked down the first GI Joe as an option to watch this weekend, after seeing ads for the new GI Joe flick. And for something a bit more family-friendly, we have Over the Hedge. Should look for Wreck-It Ralph since we saw it this week at a library event and liked it. I wonder if we'll be outside most of the weekend, though, if the weather stays sunny!
