Happy Wednesday! The sun is shining here! I am trying to decide if I want to hang the laundry outside today..there is a 30% chance of rain later. Today is our 'at home' day! No activities tonight...yay! I have a lot of organizing to do before I go back to our other house and finish bringing all of our bedroom stuff here. Yikes! I am so thankful that we have been able to move slowly, so we can go through everything. We lived in that house over 18 years, so we had way too much! Hoping to find some time for blog reading, knitting, movie watching and book reading! Hope you have a great day!

My mashed potatoes turned out too runny and instead of waiting to peel, chop and add more to that pot, we just relied on Hubby's skills with the skillet to fry us some perogies. Yum! I'm thinking of putting some of the leftover potatoes in soup that I need to eat up tonight or tomorrow.

We do tend to accumulate more the longer we stay in a house, so I understand appreciating a slow move. That's a lot of years in one place! (Since getting married, I think 3 years is the longest we've been in one apartment/house.)

Quiet morning at home for me, nowhere we had to be after taking Tim to school and nothing pressing for chores. Did my Bible study while enjoying my morning tea, then watched a movie due back at the library tomorrow. Early lunch, then playgroup for Ben and we're just finishing up snacktime since we came home with Tim. I'll attempt bike riding practice next, and I'm making (homemade) beef and bean burritos for supper. (We keep frozen ones on hand for quick suppers, but I really do like the taste that results from homemade.) Maybe I'll get started knitting slippers tonight (finally).

Oops, I missed an update yesterday! I had tutoring in the morning, then took Ben to playgroup one more time before the school's Spring Break. After lunch we returned library books and grabbed new ones, including the BOTM. Also grabbed veggies for chicken stir-fry supper. The bathroom needed its usual cleaning and a little more because we'd had dirt in the cold water late Wednesday night, but the Village Public Works guys had it fixed when we got up Thursday. :) I think that's the first time I've wiped out a toilet tank. ;) Not much happening Thursday night, enjoyed Elementary, though.

This morning I had a dr's appt, just to get a prescription refill. I brought my Nook to read (without noticing its low charge, but I got several minutes out of it before being called in) and my doc ended up asking which e-reader I had and how I liked it. LOL (I actually might switch to Kobo some year if I can migrate my library without copyright issues. B&N still doesn't accept Canadian credit cards for buying ebooks, but I can buy e-gift cards and send them to myself. Silly workaround! Kobo, meanwhile, is connected with a Canadian online bookseller so there wouldn't be an issue.)

When we got back home from seeing the doc, Ben got a few educational shows and I did some audio editing, with two more sermons uploaded once all was done. :) Lunch was pork leftovers made into a grilled cheese sandwich. Afterwards, Ben and I played in the snow a little to help the front yard clear faster. (Once it's clear, I'll rake all gravel out and be ready for it to grow in nicely for mowing! There's a method behind this spring madness. LOL) Now I've got the kids finishing up snack and I'm hoping to get them more fresh air with a walk to the post office so our box is empty for the weekend. (On busy weeks, it's got to be at least Monday, Wednesday and Friday checks of the box, just to be sure we don't miss any important bills or, much better, fun correspondence.)

We had a good, quiet weekend here. Lots of reading. :) The boys enjoyed their time at church as well and I learned how to use the projector for running DVDs (which we'll do on the 26th during our ladies' Bible study) and where to find the audio files I've been editing! (Boy, that computer needs organising. Or at least that one directory!)

We watched "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" for an Irish movie this afternoon, and we all had ice cream with green sugar sprinkles as a nod to my family's St. Patrick's Day tradition. Normally I would stir the green in, but I've had the ice cream in the fridge freezer for a few days and it hardened a bit much. Must remember to return it to the deep freeze between uses, or be patient enough to let it sit and soften...
