Wow, the year seems to be passing very quickly! It's hard to believe my oldest has only two months left in his first year of school. And about this time next year, we'll be getting ready for kindergarten orientation with the younger one.

How's the weather in your area? Any plans for the month? Chat it up, folks! :)

I've fallen into the routine of a Friday night leisurely shower once the boys are in bed. Brad is out with friends most Fridays, so it's the perfect time to indulge in extra grooming or just prepare for the weekend by winding down a little, at my own pace. Then I'll throw laundry in the wash so I can hopefully avoid doing it till Sunday night or even Monday. :) Tonight I also had a salad to prepare for a Saturday ladies' event at church, so I'm just getting to snacktime and reading at 9 pm. And I don't know what I want to eat, either, but I'll have to have some kind of food input before the night is over, or I could wake early in the morning with wonky blood sugar levels...

Glad you were able to sleep well. Knitting and tired/not feeling well never works for me, there is always a mistake!

Crazy Friday here! Went to volunteer and the horse rescue farm and see the horse we are fostering. My foot got stepped on by another horse. OUCH! Came home and tried to clean and then hosted bible study here. All in all it was a very fulfilling day!

Today we are off to a fundraiser for a family from our church. Sam, a wonderful, loving, beautiful, Jesus-loving 20 year old girl has been battling brain cancer for three years. The doctors say there is nothing more they can do for her. Please keep this family lifted up in prayer as we wait to see what God has planned for her.

My foot is much better today! Yay! No one stepped on me while I was at the horse farm. Double yay! The fundraiser went very well. Thanks for all your prayers!

Glad your foot is feeling better! My cold is on the way out, I think. We had another day at the lake so Brad could help his parents adjust their satellite dish (rather than pay a fortune for the provider to drive out and do it). Got one satellite, so there are SD channels but no HD yet. I'm not sure if the whole family is going out a third weekend in a row, we shall see. I'm guessing that would be Saturday since Sunday is Mother's Day...

We watched the 2009 Star Trek movie last night, my excuse being that I need to be ready for the release of the next one on the 16th. ;) Brad said he turned down an invite to see Iron Man 3 with friends 'cause he wants to save movie money for taking me to the Star Trek flick. Hooray! I would have worked out a night to go on my own otherwise, loving Star Trek so much. ;)
