Pull up a chair and share with us if you like. Prayer requests and praises alike, we want to bring them to the Father and support each other!

I'm so thankful that after all the appointments and testing, the doctors were able to determine that Tim wasn't suffering from tumours, cysts or scar tissue, but a very large block of fecal matter (ew, even typing that is icky LOL). The pediatrician believes that it's caused by a habit of not waiting to finish the job. Seems quite reasonable considering that we couldn't get Tim to stay on the potty when we began to train. He now gets to play a video game and I check up on him to make sure he isn't just in the bathroom to play. ;) We're using daily laxatives because the oral purgative was something he refused to take after the first week. Hopefully by the time we reach our follow-up appointment with the pediatrician, everything will have passed and Tim will be close to leaving pull-ups behind!

And a potentially silly praise item: After two decades of wearing glasses all the time, I'm starting to wear contacts! Still building up to a normal day's wear (about two hours more each day) and adjusting to the fact that sometimes I notice something in my eyes and sometimes I'm totally comfortable... I go back in about a week to have a check-up with the optometrist, probably a quick vision test and peeking at the eyes to be sure the lenses still fit well. I really should have tried this a long time ago!

Becca -

I have IBS (TMI I'm sure) - and I am so glad to hear that Tim does not have any actual medical issues or problems at such a young age to deal with for the rest of his life. I know you are very grateful as well.

Thats wonderful news about Tim, glad to hear he''s going to be ok!!! I actually prefer wearing contacts, especially during the summer, that way I can wear sunglasses lol. I currently have green contacts, there super cool lol

The other day I received a letter in the mail letting me know that I was approved for OSAP, I'm pretty excited and a little nervous about going to school in the fall, But I know that God has wonderful things planned for me!!!

Becca, that is great about Tim AND the contacts!!!

Jennifer, good luck with school! How exciting.

I could use continued prayers for myself and my parents. I am helping take care of them, drive them places and help them at home somewhat. My sister and I are doing a LOT and sometimes it gets overwhelming since I have a lot of other things going on in my own family!!! Also, my 2 year old niece is having nerological problems, please pray that the doctors can help her.

Thanks!

It's definitely a relief to know that there's a remedy that shouldn't require medication for long. I hope your condition is easily managed.

Congrats on school! ITA about wearing sunglasses! I'm sick of my clip-ons getting scratches and not fitting my frames properly.

praise - my oldest son got a super good job! He's been looking literally for years while working in a restaurant.

prayer- my daughter is still struggling with decisions

also my elderly mom can't decide if she wants to move to our town, away from where she has lived all of her life, or stay where she is. She lives about 70 miles from us so going over once a week or every 2 weeks is about all I can handle right now. She is enjoying pretty good health, just getting a little more frail and is at times lonely.

Yay for the job! Prayers for your daughter's decisions.

That's a hard thing for your mum to choose. I hope she moves closer, and I do understand her needing her own place still or maybe a community of others her age.
