Tim went to school today (Thursday, posting late here) and I took Ben to get new library books. Otherwise, not that much done beyond minimum household tasks. Tomorrow I think I'll try DayQuil to kick the cold symptoms out. Then I can get some cleaning done for the weekend, plus buy a couple necessary ingredients for birthday cake. (We'll have the grandparents over on Sunday.)

I had both boys at home again today. Tim was still coughing so I thought one more day of not spreading germs would be a good idea. I don't want him to have too much fun here on a weekday, so I reminded him tomorrow is his class' day for the library and Hot Dog day as well. (Twice a month, missed the last one. Oops!) It was a quiet day, some Christmas viewing (Grinch, Shrek and later the Muppets) and reading time for me. :)

Last year I think it was the 28th or 29th when we took our tree down. This year it'll go in a different spot in the living room, so we may not be as desperate to get it out of the way. ;)

I guess I should go get dressed and start getting ready for today. I have housework to catch up on, and I think laundry that needs to be done.

Once Christmas day is over, I am ready to move on. I usually take down the decorations on December 26th lol.

Hooray for Christmas books! I'll extend the holidays a bit if there's one Christmas book to finish up, but by mid-January it's time to move on. ;) I have one Harlequin freebie my mum enjoyed but I haven't read yet because it's a Christmas story and I want to read it close to the holiday itself!

I read my first Christmas book, so I am starting to feel Christmasy.  lol  I have a few more on hold at the library, but a few have a wait list.  Including the one I really want to read.  It is The Christmas Pony by Melody Carlson.  I may get that one in time sine I am 3rd in line, the other one I am in 20th.  So probably not going to happen.  :(  I am not the type that can read Christmas book after Christmas either, so I will just have to put it back on the Christmas TBR for next year.

Thanksgiving was fun and very yummy yesterday.  Now this morning I want to get the house all cleaned up so we can decorate for Christmas.  We are all very excited.  :)  Today is also the day I start reading my Christmas books.

I'm all done the writing! Just 32 words over the goal, but that's good enough to win and I'll take it. :) Then I should start researching and editing in January!

There's an editing challenge in March, but I don't want to wait too long before working on the story - I'm not aiming to be a writer only a few months of the year when there are challenges. ;)

I am, however, looking forward to time to watch Christmas movies, read books and work on my church's website. (Just got that job. Woo hoo!)
