After I'd seen my dad, we were visiting with a family friend in the hall and I fainted. I think it had to do with my blood sugar level and thankfully it's never happened since!

I believe the aneurysm stayed in his stomach and didn't travel. They had no difficulties with the surgery. :)

Oh on the blood sugar. My brother has to watch and test everyday.
Now that he has the aneury., the blood sugar went up and he is in diabetes now.
Ok on the aneurysm staying in stomach. It never bothered him? It was taken out.?

I'm thinking it must have caused some discomfort or he would never have gone to the dr and had his diagnosis, but i don't recall whether he just had stomachaches or other symptoms. They removed it successfully and he didn't have another hospital stay for 7 years (bowel blockage).

I think the worst part of the 2009 hospital visit was that he wasn't prepared for it - he suddenly became sick and all the Christmas and New Year's plans (just family visits, our low-key traditional celebrations) had to be postponed. He didn't deal well with that, but recovery was normal otherwise. :)
