Congrats to Melissa, who was the last to post in August! Here's your snazzy blinkie:

And now we face a new month. Are we up to the challenge of chatting it up? :smileywink: Whoever is last to post just before midnight Eastern on September 30th will win!

Let's get started! :smileyhappy:

How did the pediatrician appt go? Did you get to read? I was able to read more while waiting for my prescription than at the actual doctor appt.

Praying you are better Cindy! There is a lot going around here. I have a sinus infection, but she put me on an antibiotic that will kill strep and the sinus infection.

I am hoping to get through today without being totally miserable. The weather is gorgeous. So I am going to hang out a load of laundry, make a few phone calls, try and keep up with the dishes {I really miss the dishwasher} and get some homeschooling in.

I plan to get some reading in today....I do not want to put Made to Crave down! :smileywink:

I usually drop off my prescription at the pharmacy, then walk to the post office rather than wait with the kids in the pharmacy itself. :smileywink: When they're both in school full-time, I should sit and read while I wait. :smileyhappy:

We had to wait about 45 mins and I read during most of that. :smileyvery-happy: They had added a TV with Roku access, tsk tsk, so at first there were lots of kids staring at the TV and hardly playing. Then two kids went to see the doc with their parents, and the adults left didn't know where the remote was, so it got louder and concentrating was a bit harder but I didn't mind non-zombie kids. LOL By the time we were done, the remote had been found again...

No dishwasher in the new residence? Our counters are too low to put one in, and a portable one would be a bit of a pain. I'm the dishwasher now and sometimes I can get Tim to do a fairly good job drying - otherwise I air dry.

Yay for a book you don't want to put down!

Forgot to talk about what happened with the pediatrician rather than just the waiting room. Oops!

We're glad we got a referral to the other pediatrician near here because it seemed like we didn't get all the answers we were looking for from this doc. I'm relieved he's not concerned about Tim's growth being affected by his chronic constipation, but why exactly should he need medicine to stimulate a normal bodily function? The doc just said it's "dietary" and that was it.

I do have to turn in a 5 year questionnaire about his abilities/development, so I'm going to attach a note asking for an email with any foods we should avoid or ones we should encourage Tim to eat. Maybe the mix of what he ingests is off balance?

We're hoping the other pediatrician will want tests done or will run through a list of potential causes and give us more to go on. It's frustrating feeling like we could be doing more to help our kid be healthy!

I should have ran my errands while waiting, but I was exhausted.

Yay for being able to read during most of the 45 minute wait!

Nope, no dishwasher here and there is no where for it to go unless we totally redo the kitchen and that is not in the plans for a few years.

Our last rental had a dishwasher, so I was spoiled for a couple years. My parents rarely used theirs (in the house we moved to when I was 9), so they eventually took it out and put shelves in the gap under the counter. By then it was probably so old it would need to be replaced anyway...

I have dish water waiting for me right now. Seems to work well if I remember to run it before we sit down to eat a meal, then it's there once I take my plate to the sink. :smileyhappy:
