Congrats to Melissa, who was the last to post in August! Here's your snazzy blinkie:

And now we face a new month. Are we up to the challenge of chatting it up? :smileywink: Whoever is last to post just before midnight Eastern on September 30th will win!

Let's get started! :smileyhappy:

I should mention that the pediatrician at our hospital is really great with kids and seems very knowledgeable. I would actually like to buy his book sometime.

I'm just not on board all the time with his methods of dealing with parents, giving out the amount of information he decides is important and otherwise saying "Don't worry." That doesn't always cut it! Less information often equals more worry because you fear the worst.

It can be hard to decide when to start working out after being sick. You don't want to get in a habit of not exercising, but you don't want to overdo it either.

Hope it goes well and you enjoy a library visit without kids!

I've added sit-ups and push-ups to my indoor-walking routine. I need to work on core muscles for a stronger back and I do the push-ups from my knees for now. Those were two exercises I seemed fairly good with when I did a routine from a Wii fitness program.

I can understand being less distracted at the gym. You're there specifically for exercising, plus you're paying for that time and want to get your money's worth. Sounds like what my pastor's wife was saying about our computer tutoring time together - she wouldn't be using her computer as much unless she were coming to my house for our lesson together, so the time and money were worth it for her continued progress.

When both boys are in school, I may have time here and there for brisk walks on my own (or with the dog if I'm not walking to a part-time job or with a store as destination). I'm hoping I still get enough exercise at that point!

It seemed too chilly to get out in the yard right after getting Tim to school this morning, so I had time for tea and Bible study, then hopped on the computer and got stuck there. :smileywink: (Except for bathroom breaks with Ben, who at least told me he was stinky even though he didn't get to the toilet in time... It's a bit of progress there. He seems to have staying dry down, woo hoo!)

I just call an automated call from Sears, so maybe we'll switch plans and pick up Tim's new suspenders. We can get some lactose-free yogurt at the same time since we'll be near the grocery store that sells that item. (Someday we might have all stores converted to offering at least a few LF foods! It's hit and miss right now.)

When we get back, I do really need to go in the backyard and pick up the bad apples that have fallen from our Macintosh tree. Don't want the dog eating too many and getting sick as happened a couple weeks ago! I still have some fence painting to do on the solid part of the fence (in our private corner of the yard) and then finally it's just the large open area that's just fence post and rails to paint. I should have roped the nephews into a painting party so we could just get it done already. LOL

Splitting up my posts since I'm too wordy... Hee hee.

I'm looking forward to Elementary's premiere tonight! I'm a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes and even though the character is saturating the market almost as badly as Twilight :smileywink::smileywink: I haven't had enough yet. Besides, Jonny Lee Miller is in a show with his British accent! :smileyvery-happy: (I have a thing about actors using their original accents and not putting on North American ones just because they work in Hollywood... Do they think North American viewers can't understand anything but their own way of speaking? We're smart people, give us credit!)

We still have The Voice and X-Factor for catching up, but have been watching more drama and sit-coms this week since so many shows are just starting. I'll leave Over the Rainbow (Canadian reality show) and Dancing with the Stars as long as I can afford the space on the PVR. Right now I'd rather make time for reading than clear up the PVR!

Ben needs cleaning up after finishing up the current yogurt supply (to make room for the new stuff we'll buy) and then we're off for a car ride. Have a great day!

A cup of tea, bible study and computer time sounds like a great morning plan to me! :smileyhappy: Ick to the dog eating too many bad apples. I can totally relate on the painting....roping someone else to do sounds like the perfect idea to me...my painting break is over starting next week! :smileysad:

We don't have TV here yet. We can't get satellite service here, so we just put in our order for cable. Not thrilled about having to go that route, but our trees are blocking the signal for satellite and the trees are huge and can't be removed.

Enjoy the premiere!
