(I know, I should come up with a different Sunday thread title, but the alliteration thing is engrained! I don't think of them as sermons often, just "the pastor's message" or "God's Word for the week.")

Tell us about your church service today! What did God have to say?

Today's word came from Ezekiel 37 and it was about God taking what we see as impossible (in the text, the dry bones) and making wonderful things (in the text, a living army). I loved the reminder not to lose hope and think that something can't be done. Also, the example of saving a drowning person when they've stopped flailing and really need help was an interesting one - God doesn't always rush in when we're in a panic about something in our lives, but rescues us and gives us a miracle when we thought it was all over. As the pastor said, "It ain't over till God say it's over!"

I spent the weekend at a conference called "By IN Health." They teach pretty much all of our medical issues are based thinkgs like fear, stress, anxiety, self bitterness, self hatred and self rejection.

We read from Acts and the Pastor spoke about how God wants us, the body of Christ, to go out and disciple.

I definitely think a happy heart contributes to good health, which is one reason prayer is so important for us. Is the organisation Christian?

One of the non-fiction freebies I got this year talks a bit about discipling and I think that's missing a lot from church programs. I'd love to get in on a mentoring program and learn from one of the ladies in my church then pass on what I know as well!
