DYK the official beginning of winter hasn't occurred yet, but I say it's time for Winter DYK!

DYK I need to get out my Christmas decorations and pick a time to get a tree

DYK the Christmas music and movies are already up from the basement

DYK we also have four Advent calendars! (Felt one with pockets for a candy cane, flat paper one with Bible verses behind the doors, a chocolate one for the boys to share and one on my computer from Jacquie Lawson)

DYK since I haven't had an email back from Tyndale, I don't think I'm getting an ebook for a blog tour at the start of March

DYK I guess I'll just continue with my plans to finish the James Patterson books I own (and then donate them to the library)

DYK I also need to pick my next non-fiction book to read

DYK it's hard to believe it's almost the end of the month!

DYK I have no "homework" for Bible study on Tuesday because we're taking a break from the Ann Graham Lotz study to do a night of journalling in our prayer journals

DYK maybe that'll get me using it more often!

DYK I did it fairly well in the first week of the year, then kept forgetting to grab the journal as I did my Bible reading in the morning

DYK so far I'm not into the romance my mum lent me

DYK I'll try skimming a little at the start to move things along to the "meat" of the novel ;)

DYK we should be going to the library tomorrow since our books are due, so I should look for a non-fiction book to read or request from another library

DYK I need to remember to use my prayer journal to record thoughts from these non-fiction books - I'd still like to use it with my daily Bible reading, too, but I'm not in the habit yet *blushing*

DYK we're watching "The Mentalist" right now

DYK the kitten is cuddling with me and the dog is wandering around like he's lost - he wants cuddles too, and then dinner soon! ;)

DYK I had a little TV break this afternoon and caught up on the first hour of last night's "American Idol"

DYK I'll watch the rest of the show tomorrow, along with tonight's episode - unless I decide to watch a movie... :)

DYK Friday nights after the boys go to bed are my time alone at home to relax, but sometimes I sneak in a little extra cleaning first so the weekend is set aside for reading and family time!

DYK I'm contemplating trying to get a job at the credit union when it's time to go back into the workforce (when the boys are both in school)

DYK besides my love of books (which might mean future education to be a librarian), I do find numbers interesting and like counting out bills or change

DYK I don't want to go so far as to say I love money, but I think it could be a good job, especially if when I'm no longer the newbie employee, I could work right here in the village

DYK there are also other branches if we find our next house outside the village (since Hubby also has his eye on land closer to our hometown)

DYK I'm listening to KLove and I have water on the go for a fresh (small) pot of raspberry zinger tea

DYK it seems like a good day for music, hot drinks and quiet activities like chatting online or reading

DYK I don't know if that feeling is from the bit of snow falling or just a desire for a slightly lazy day at home...

DYK I still haven't finished that snail mail letter *blushing*

DYK I need to get to that because I like to send a letter to my great-aunt around the start of the month

DYK there isn't much of her family left and I have no grandparents to write, so she's become my oldest letter-recipient

(DYK it's a shame it took me this many years to write her regularly and brighten her days)

DYK I should get back to a snail mail letter to my younger sis

DYK I think it would probably mean more than just emailing the letter (even though I'm still composing it on the computer)

DYK she's the only sibling not living in this area, so her mailbox needs some love! ;)

DYK now I just have to think what to add to my beginning chatter

DYK I certainly don't get out to as many events as she does living in Vancouver, plus I don't really have any work gossip LOL (but I do have cute "bosses" in my kids)

DYK if I think about it, my complaint about dialect in writing is a bit weird considering I love to watch TV shows and movies from the UK

DYK I love accents when I can hear them ;)

DYK I'm now on page 40-something of 304 and there's potential

DYK I'm not used to reading the Scottish dialect, so that makes me read slower

DYK I know it's a historical romance, but if I had my choice, I'd take a translation into regular English ;)
