What are you reading this week? Has the story been made into a movie?

Anything you've read lately that would be great on the big (or small) screen?

What will you read next?

The 2003 movie version of A Wrinkle In Time (with Alfre Woodard and Chris Potter) wasn't big budget, but it did a fairly good job translating the story to the screen. I'd still say the book's better for that one. ;)

I'm on Book #6 of the Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan. This one's called The Siege of Macindaw. I think the whole series so far would be good as movies (combining a couple books at a time?) or a TV series.

I recently finished the Newpointe 911 series and those would be great since they're suspense and fast enough pace for the average audience. (Sometimes slow books just drag on screen, though they may be great on the page because of the emotional journey.)

Up next for me is probably a freebie or two awaiting review, plus I'll read the BOTM when it comes in at my local library. :)

I am reading "Unwholly" the 2nd book in the Unwind trilogy. I was worried it wouldn't be very good, but it is almost as good ast the first one. I think they could make movies out of these, but they are pretty graphic so I'm not sure how well they'd be recieved.

Loved Unwind and UnWholly...great...Waiting for the 3rd in the Trilogy.  Have you read Everlost, Everwild and Everfound by the same author?  Just got Everfound at the library...

I am reading Wish You Well by David Baldacci. I would love for the Mother-Daughter Book Club by Heather Vogel Frederick to be made into movies. I will be reading the BOTM next and then The Private Diary of Mr. Darcy by Maya Slater.

Ooh, I think that would be a great series for movies, Angie! There aren't enough clean movies to watch these days and I'm regressing to family and teen - sometimes even that isn't a guarantee of something wholesome to watch!

Ruth, I have read the Everlost books, except didn't finish the last one. My daughter is reading it right now. I have actually read almost all of Neal Shusterman's books, he is a great author. I like the Unwind books much better than the Everlost ones, though.

Almost finished the Ranger's Apprentice novel (though not enough time while waiting at the doctor's office this morning LOL) and then I have the BOTM in from a Vancouver-area library. :)
