I’m reading The Jane Austen Marriage Manual (Kim Izzo, Canadian author!). It has felt like a slow start, but I’m hoping for romance and/or some sort of conflict other than the downturn of the economy in 2008…

For non-fiction, my church Bible study group is going through Lies Women Believe (Nancy Leigh DeMoss). Great book! I’m also picking up Learn the Bible in 24 Hours (Chuck Missler) here and there. It’s very full of intriguing background information on Jewish culture, the time periods, interpretation of Bible passages, etc. so it’s taking a long time to get through it, but I’d rather take it slow and mull things over than speed through it and not glean very much!

I’m not sure what I’ll be reading next. I have one more book to find in the Newpointe 911 series (Terri Blackstock) that the city library doesn’t own – maybe they also didn’t know about the fifth novel. ;) I also have a lot of ebooks to choose from if I’m waiting for an interlibrary loan…

I still can't seem to get into the Maya Slater book. I just finished A Life in Stitches by Rachael Herron and getting ready to start Truth Stained Lies this evening.

I'm not that much into my book either or I would have read more this week and written less. Rather than pick up the novel now, I might get to today's word goal that I forgot about this afternoon. (Oopsie!)

Hope you were able to hit that word goal! :)

Surprisingly, I did it! I expected that my tired mind wouldn't be able to produce, but with a smaller word goal this month, it's happening much easier than previous writing challenges. (For the record, it's Camp NaNoWriMo and you set your own monthly word count. I went for 10,000 and a follow-up story to the 50K I wrote in November.)

I got an extra half-hour of sleep this morning. Yay! When I woke up to the boys talking, I brought Ben out to the living room and gave him Fruit Ninja to play on the MP3 player that also manages to use some apps. I've set a time in my mind as a decent wake-up for Tim, so that he gets enough rest for school, so just after that time I went into the bedroom and gave him a couple pointers for knowing if it's time to get up - if you can't see the clock hands to tell the time, it's too early (although we'll actually need to set an alarm to avoid oversleeping during darker seasons...) and also to watch for the hands both to reach 6 or a higher number. I think that should help him, and now I need Ben to learn the same!

Now Tim's entertaining Ben by playing Kirby on the Nintendo DS - apparently Fruit Ninja isn't as interesting for a long period of time. ;) I should give them a five-minute warning before having them get dressed, and then we'll pick out breakfast options. Hubby is meeting with a plumber at 9, so he may sleep in until it's time to walk Tim to school.

Oops, neglected to notice that I was still in the Bookworm thread, so I was being LTP chatty. Sorry, gals!
