This is the first fragment  that's jumped out at me for weeks - I wrote it down before it vanished. Maybe its cousins Verse, Stanza, or even Poem will visit.

Summer exits shivering

as Fall sings “I’m here!”

in crisp, crystal tones.

Love it!

But I especially love, "Maybe its cousins Verse, Stanza, or even Poem will visit."  It's so hard to go through these voiceless times, when you just KNOW you have things to say!

Two more stanzas of three lines per ... c'mon, Ro, you know it wants to come out!

Revision - still a fragment:

Summer exits shivering

as Fall sings “I’m here!”

in crisp, crystal tones

in rhythm with rustling gold and red

flying in gusts, mounding  on paths,

hiding  holes and rocks  to trip the unwary

beguiled by  the brilliance in the sky,

eyes lifted toward heaven;

the earth, too,  calls them.
