I found this poem in the prose of Andrew Stubbs:

For all the ego of

voice,

we need to learn

. . . a dutiful silence,

so the poem will find us,

not the other

way round.

When you water her,

aloe vera swells, yielding

dewy healing gel.

Ignored, such plumpness

shrivels flat. Look: inside you

might find one wet drop.
