Hi, poets!  <Pat waves at everyone>.  Let's do a roll call:  Pat Gomes, Massachusetts. And YOU are?

I'm Roberta, here in Regina Saskatchewan, Canada, inside  white wind, white air, white mounds crushing roofs,  blocking walks, hiding slick ice on narrow remnants of streets, and double-digit (Celsius) temperatures are always a week away. When the snow finally melts, we're expected to have the worst flooding in many years., and sstores are reordering pumps, but they'll probably have plenty of time to prepare for the unlikely occasion of real thawed snow. And Mother Nature is mean. She made all the hares turn brown, so they stand out against the snow and make a perfect target for coyotes and other predators.

Welcome back, Pat. I know it's pretty hard to get in here.

It's been BEYOND frustrating, but worth every ounce of effort when I get it and am able to read your poetry.

And I'm Jackie, in Sierra Leone, and so happy to see you all again. I'm on a campaign against cynicism so I believe that this time the zits on the face of PW will be smoothed out and we'll be back in business. Just in case, I'm actually writing!

If we're talking weather, here we've just switched over from the Harmattan, with its NE prevailing winds off the Sahara, to the pre-rainy season, with SW prevailing winds and the two H's: humidity and heat. Nothing dries overnight anymore. But skin loves soft as opposed to flaky-taut!

Hi Pat and all!  Margo here from somewhere in the yellow pollen-filled spring in Georgia.  The cherry trees are in full bloom here, as are the pines.  It is beautiful, but you need a hazmat suit with respirator in order to leave your house.  I had given up on iVillage until Pat told me it is sort of limping along.

You have heat?!! My goodness, I've forgotten what "warm" feels like!

Limping, but still mobile. FYI, I'd love to be in GA in the spring. To heck with Paris, give me the south!
