Put your heart on my open wound.
Feelings of probability
surge through me so quickly.
I cannot grasp this possible
reality in bloodied fingers.

Put your heart on my open wound.
Found me laying on the floor
in a disheveled heap

broken pieces of the girl

I once was

drowning the woman I have become.

Put your heart on this open wound,
that resembles my heart--
hold tight in faith
that I will heal within
the safety
of you.

Great delivery of the trepidation of a new relationship, taken in baby steps after painful endings.
Embrace change.

You are so brave; I'm terrified of new relationships.

Thank you, I have a problem with passive voice at times.

Mad applause! Hearts and blood have been a theme here this week -- did I NOT get the memo?

It has been a week! Glad it made you laugh, still made me giggle just now.
