Are you working on a book / short story? Short stories... I've got a couple started that I need to focus on, now that the holidays are nearly over.
Have you made any resolutions about your writing? Yep... just made one in a previous post here! I've got to start sharing my fictional writings more, so I can improve my skills. That's just a scary step! LOL
Looking forward to growing more as a writer and a person in 2013! Happy New Year, everyone!
Happy New Year, Southern, good luck with the stories. I know you can share them more often.

Are you working on a book / short story? I'm currently working on a couple of short stories (fanfiction).
Have you made any resolutions about your writing? My resolution is to wrap up my fanfiction stories and focus on a story that has been perculating in the back of my mind for a while.

Hi Shellie, it's good to see you. Keep us posted on the novel that is percolating.
Okay, now we all get to find out how little I know about publishing, what is "fanfiction"?

The definition of fanfiction from Wikipedia sums it up pretty well:
Fan fiction (alternatively referred to as fanfiction, fanfic, FF, or fic) is a broadly-defined fan labor term for stories about characters or settings written by fans of the original work, rather than by the original creator. Works of fan fiction are rarely commissioned or authorized by the original work's owner, creator, or publisher; also, they are almost never professionally published. Because of this, many stories often contain a disclaimer stating that the creator of the work owns none of the characters. Fan fiction, therefore, is defined by being both related to its subject's canonical fictional universe and simultaneously existing outside the canon of that universe.[1] Most fan fiction writers assume that their work is read primarily by other fans, and therefore tend to presume that their readers have knowledge of the canon universe (created by a professional writer) in which their works are based.
As Lucy can tell you, I am a huge Harry Potter geek. So that's what fanfiction I have been writing. My stories are posted on HarryPotterFanFiction.com. Here is the link if you ever have some time to kill: http://www.harrypotterfanfiction.com/viewuser.php?showuid=135100
I need to go back and edit the first five or six chapters of A Time to Grieve, A Time to Heal. When I started that one it had been years since I had written anything besides a grocery list. So, lots of grammatical and puncuation errors that I need to fix.
