Read any good books lately?

It's Friday and the rain is pounding at my window. The last thing I feel like doing is working on my writing projects; my brain is fuzzy and I think I'm in need of some serious downtime!
Decision made -- I'm giving myself an early weekend treat. I think I'll just settle down comfortably and spend the next couple of days catching up on my reading. The biggest decision I'm making this weekend is whether I crack open a mystery, a suspense thriller or maybe some lighter chick lit.
What's on your bookshelf?
I just started reading Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and it. is. goooood. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7108001-abraham-lincoln
It's not what I expected at all and I really cannot wait to see the movie now! There are facts in it which, mixed with the fiction, make it a really 'believable' tale.
I have two books I'm reading, "Prey" by Linda Howard and "Honeysucke Summer" by Sherryl Woods, it's book four of her "Sweet Magnolia" series. The Linda Howard book is on the scary side, romance mixed with murder. Sherryl Woods is light reading but entertaining.
I'm reading Every Living Thing by James Herriot. I've got Year Zero by Rob Reid, Prey by Linda Howard and The Whipping Boy by Morgan Speer next in line.
Have you started Prey yet? I just downloaded it and I think that will be my next one to read.
I have started it but keep getting interupted... so I will take it with to the lake this weekend and (hopefully) get to finish it. So far it's good!
I started reading it Wednesday night and finished it that same night, thanks to the power failure brought on by hurricane Isaac. It's really good -- hope you enjoy it!
I just read your review for the book over on The Christian Bookshelf.
The fact that you enjoyed the characters makes me want to read it even more. Just gotta hold on for three other people to finish with it... sure hope they're fast readers! LOL
