On the topic of self-publishing... I came across this article about a self-published author who just inked a deal with a major book publisher! Yay for her...and it just might serve as inspiration to a lot of us writers!

Hello, I have several ebooks and hard copies on lulu.com. It's a nice site.

ebook publishing is a better path than hard copy if you do not have a publisher. If you self publish, you may end up with a garage filled with books that you cannot get into bookstores, and lost thousands of dollars. Look at amazon.com, of course, and also smashwords.com. Your only cost is the time it takes to format your book and submitting it.
