If you could step into a day/scene from any of the Harry Potter books or movies, what would you choose? And who would you be?
The reason I ask is that my grandson has to work out a 3 to 5 minute skit to audition for a local drama group later this year. He and I were talking and I suggested, since he's such a huge HP fan, that he pick something from that. Problem is, there are SO many things to choose from, so I thought I'd pick everyone's brain for some suggestions! LOL

Thanks, Shellie, that's another great suggestion. I'll certainly let you all know what he chooses and how it all pans out. Thankfully, the audition won't be for another few months, so he's got time to experiment and get comfortable with his choices.
Thanks, ladies! Sorry it took me so long to get back to this one; I was having a totally DUH moment and forgot where I'd posted this! LOL
He's actually pretty good with the dramatic roles, but I personally think he pulls off the comedic ones better. I like the idea of going with a thinking moment we didn't see in the movies; that opens up a huge area of possibilities and he could probably come up with both a dramatic and comedy routine, then pick the one he feels he's the strongest in. Thanks; I knew I could count on you guys for some great ideas!
Wow! That's a toughie. Maybe the scene where Harry finds out that he's a wizard? That one has a range of emotions in it. Let us know which one he does, Lucy. And good luck to him!

Is he more dramatic, a comedian? If it's just him, with no others, he could do a monologue. OR, I just thought of this, what if he did a skit about what a character might have been thinking at a moment - one we didn't necessarily see. Like when Filch is nailing all of the new rules on the wall, he could be a student debating the impact in his head.
Just some thoughts! Good luck and let us know what he chooses.
