Rowling's new publisher Little, Brown & Co. announced the upcoming release of "The Casual Vacancy," which it describes as a "darkly comic" novel centering on the fictional English town of Pagford, where darkness lies beneath a peaceful facade.

Ok, so you know I had to go see if it was available for pre-order... and it is! The book description I found on Amazon is kind of vague, especially since it comes with a $20 price tag... and that's the ebook version! Looks like they haven't set a price yet for the hardback. Still, I'll probably break down and buy it but I don't think I'll jump on the pre-order bandwagon just yet! LOL

It definitely sounds interesting but I'm not so sure I'm willing to pay that kind of money without knowing more about it. Seems pretty steep.

Maybe I am just cheap. What are you willing to pay for a good book?

$20-$25 would by my limit for a book.
