In this article from Perez Hilton's website, the actor reveals that he wanted to audition for The Hunger Games but was forbidden to by Summit Entertainment.

Awww... that bites (no pun intended! LOL)! Seriously, why would you limit your talent by not allowing at least an audition? You just never know who is going to totally blow you away in an audition, especially if they identify strongly with the story!
