Will The Host be the next Twilight

The Host is "Just as sexy" as Twilight, says the cast! Now that the Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere has more or less ended the Twilight Saga press tours, the famous Stewart-Pattenson-Lautner circle could give way to a new trio. Check out the cast of The Host: Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons and Jake Abel.

The trio are just starting promotion for their sci-fi flick, which just so happens to be penned by Stephenie Meyer, and if their banter on last night's BD2 black carpet is any indication, they're a worthy trio to carry on, "the torch of Stephenie Meyer," as Saorise calls it.

LOL... I love this part...
"But don't expect the kind of shirtless action that Taylor Lautner is famous for delivering. "He doesn't take his top off though," Saorise lamented as Jake cut her off: "Don't say that! That's sequel material." Of course, the cast has plenty of ideas of what that sequel would contain." (Yeah, I'm gonna make you open the article to see more! LOL)

I read The Host and thought it was rather good. I'm definitely interested in seeing what she comes up with in the next book.

ROFL... The whole "shirts and guns" thing was funny! But honestly... a shirtless Taylor Lautner is going to be extremely hard to beat!

That said, I read The Host and enjoyed it, too. I'll probably give the movie a try, too!

Gotta agree with southern_style on Lautner being hard to beat. But, hey... I'm game to check out his "competition"! LOL

I haven't read The Host but I guess I'm just going to have to break down and give it a shot.

You know, I'm not sure it will be.  At least not for me!  I tried to read it and just couldn't get into it.  I don't know if I need to give it another try or not, but it certainly wasn't an instant hit for me like Twilight was.  It will be interesting to see what happens!

I don't think so, Bren.  The book was okay, but I don't see it inspiring the same kind of devotion that Twilight did.  I'm still curious to see the movie, though.
