So last week I put aside Talulla Rising by Glen Duncan to read Written in My Own Heart's Blood by Diana Gabaldon.

I spent the weekend reading the 8th Outlander novel. I love being with those characters, situations, times!!! I finished the 800+ page book Sunday night after starting it Friday afternoon. Eventually, I'm going to reread the whole megillah.

Now I'm black to Talulla Rising a very different adult werewolf novel, the 2nd in the series after The Last Werewolf.  I'm enjoying it a lot.

Here's a question we used to ask every month in our roll call, when there were mony more book groups here. What's your first name and approximately where do you live?

I am Julia and I live in Upstate New York.

Last week, I read Taken In by Eliz. Lynn Casey. I've started The Resistance Man by Martin Walker. In between library books, I've gone back to the Oulander series. I've started at the beginning since I read the first 3 or 4 in the series and then stopped for some reason. The TV series starts here Sunday night but I think that the first episode has already aired in the USA.

I'm Kathie and I'm from Vancouver, B.C.

Yes, Kathie the first episode of Outlander aired a few weeks ago in the US. However, I'm not willing to get that expensive channel just to see Outlander. I quite liked the first episode, they had one of these free weekends, but I'll wait for the rest to be on Netflix or dvd or whatever.

I did see that Outlander was the #1 book on the New York Times fiction list. I wonder how often that's happened with a 25- 30 year old book?
