What are you reading or will you read this week?

What's a movie that you've either seen in a movie theater, or on tv, or some other way that surprised you?  Tell us how it surprised you. Doesn't have to be a recent movie!

Julia

P.S. Happy President's Day!

I just finished this morning The Reason I Jump by Naoki Higashida. I'm reading Life After Life by Atkinson for a RL book club meeting Thursday on the Kindle. I'm reading from the library The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate. Movies: saw "Music & Lyrics" with Hugh Grant & Drew Barrymore with my husband on Valentine's Day. (It's maybe ten years old.) It was sweet and nice and funny. I saw "Warm Bodies" from last year and found it surprisingly cute and not sappy and the Romeo & Juliet aspects made me laugh in this zombie romance. Tonight I'm going to see "Sherlock, Jr." at a public library with live accompaniment two hours south of here. It's a Buster Keaton movie from 1926. Julia

I have just started "Jackson A Novel" by Max Byrd. It was just a book I found at the library that looked interesting so I thought I would give it a try.

That's OK, Julia. You probably got stuck in the loop.

I am in a re-reading pattern. I've been reading The Black Dagger Brotherhood again, and started Fifty Shades of Grey and Twilight again (I've read both numerous, numerous times). I'm almost done with Labor Day (I think I've mentioned the no quoation marks thing bothering me).

I saw Warm Bodies too and thought it was cute! Just the other day we went to see The Lego Movie and I was really surprised at how cute it was. I was iffy. I love the Lego movie games, like Harry Potter, Star Wars, etc., but was nervous about a stand alone movie. It was really cute!

I haven't been able to sign in this week. Is anyone else still having difficulty signing in?

I'm reading Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen. I'm enjoying it but not quite as much as her other books.

I love "Deathtrap," Kathie. Did you see a good production?

I am a giant Monty Python & musical theater geek, but haven't seen "Spamalot." Did you love it?

My husband & I saw "Private Lives" last weekend, to celebrate our anniversary. It was a great production.
