I have no idea when this list/chart was made (I see some 2012 books on there), but it's a great chart!

Anything on here that's a must read that I should ignore following the chart with?

Well, a fair number of these books are for middle-schoolers, rather than YA, but that doesn't make them bad.  There are a few I find twee, sappy, or pretentious, like "The Fault In Our Stars", The Twilight saga, Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants".  However, I am NOT an agnst-filled tween or teen.   All the Newberry and Caldecott winners are fine.

Otherwise, start with something like this...      http://www.amazon.com/The-5th-Wave-Rick-Yancey-ebook/dp/B009VMC7UO/ref=pd_sim_kstore_12?ie=UTF8&refRID=1B2BCZB780YA9VESCB28    and then follow the "Customers who bought this... " links.

I think there are a bunch of really great books on this list! For starters, Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein, which I am about to reread, because I'm giving twenty copies of it out in April for World Book Night. My friend is giving out Enchanted by Alethea Kontis, so I'm about to reread that starting today for our real life book group. Both books now have sequels, now. I Think Boy 21 by Quick was on my favorites of the year last year with Aristotle & Dante... by Saenz and Every Day by Levithan, which all are rare boy books. Happy Reading! Julia

Looks like some good books to me!  Code Name Verity, in particular, looked like it would be good.  I've read the first couple Divergent books but I lost interest and never finished the series.
