I have never been a fan of 3D; those crazy cardboard glasses don't fit well over my own and the slightest bend of them throws everything out of whack. The only time I've been able to actually see 3D well was at the IMAX, where the glasses were rigid frames and huge, so there wasn't any distortion. We were on a class field trip, so the movie was a short deep sea documentary type. I'll admit, it was cool to see the fish swimming directly at us and the air bubbles surrounding us.
But, on a whole, I prefer watching movies in a normal format. I enjoy special effects, but I really don't want to be in the middle of them! LOL It's too distracting and takes away from my enjoying the actual storyline.
What movie was it that the theater was part of the movie? (Or am I imagining things? LOL)
The seats were set up to be like trees or something. Maybe it was a TV show or a book. I know when I saw/read it, I thought that would be so cool. They had it so that smells would be available (so if the person on the screen was baking cookies, that scent would be coming out of vents on your seat). Maybe I am making that up. LOL But I swear I got the idea from somewhere!
