Are there any classic movies you've seen only on tv that you would love to see on the big screen? I would love to see some of the old Universal horror movies in a theater...like Frankenstein etc.

Definitely "Gone With the Wind." But movies like "Dracula" (the Bela Lugosi version) or the silent "Phantom of the Opera" (with Lon Chaney) would be fantastic, too.

I LOVE the Phantom of the Opera!! Lon Chaney was an incredible master of makeup!! I try to imagine how frightening that face must have been to audiences in the 20's!!! I like silent movies in general. Buster Keaton..the Keystone Cops..hilarious!! My favorites have to be Nasferatu and Metropolis!

You've never seen GWTW on the big screen? Oh, you're missing something! I think it may have been the first movie I ever saw in a theater, lol! In about 1955 it was coming back to the big screen and my Mom wanted to see it (again, she's a fan, too). For some reason she couldn't leave 4 yr. old me at home, so she took me along, hoping I'd fall asleep. She said I was riveted from the first scene to the last! And I remember watching it! It may be one of my first memories!

And a few years ago it was out in theaters again and my dd and I went to it. If you get the chance, don't miss this on the big screen!

I'd like to see Casablanca or some Hitchcock movies, like Psycho or Vertigo. I bet some of those scenes in Vertigo were really scary when seen larger than life!

I saw Psycho on the big screen. I've also seen GWTW. It was re-released for some kind of anniversary thing and it was incredible.

Unfortunately, the last time that GWTW played in theatres here, I was just a baby. I've probably watched it 100 times on TV (I own both VHS and DVD), and can only imagine how breathtaking it must have been when originally released.

I do recall my older brother taking me to see The Wizard of Oz on the big screen, and although it turns up on TV at least once a year, it's never been as good as the first time that I saw it, a memory I treasure to this day.

I would love to see "The Thin Man" (all 6 of them) on the big screen, along with Laura and any Rodgers and Hammerstien musical. Oh and It's a mad mad mad mad World. And ANY Shirley Temple movie, I am a huge Shirley fan and a huge Cary Grant fan so I would love to see Arsenic and Old Lace, and Mr. Blandings Builds his Dream House on the big screen.

I am very lucky to live in a town where one of the theaters bring back old movies on a regular basis so I have seen Rear Window, Wizard of Oz (twice) but I missed GWTW. Also saw Harold and Maude on the screen.

I also took a musical studies class last year, so we had a "big" screen in the class. It was probably 1/3 the size of a regular theater screen, but I got to see many musicals on it like Top Hat, 7 brides for 7 brothers, Cabaret ect. It was just like being in a theater.
