We've talked about movies we'd like to see on the big screen - how about some you *have* seen in a theater that you feel just wouldn't be (or aren't) the same on a tv screen?

My first thoughts would be The Abyss and How the West Was Won. HTWWW may be an old movie, but it's a good one. When those wagons come tearing across the plains at you, on the big screen, you really feel you're about to be run down! And The Abyss should be seen in a theater to get the sense of vastness and depth I just didn't feel when I saw it again on tv.

"Close Encounters of the Third Kind"..."Jaws"..."Pearl Harbor" just to name a few that were a waste on the small screen!!
