I watched this on Pay Per View and was rather disappointed. It went so slowly! Nothing much happened until the last half hour! The first hour and a half was just building up to something (I'd think), then - nothing! And even at the end, it wasn't all that scary or suspenseful.

And, I know the place was beautiful, but I couldn't buy the ending where, after all the trauma they had endured there, and the guy finally dying in the house, they stay there and are all happy and contented. I would have run, not walked back to the city! Or at least not stayed in that particular house!

I agree with you on this one too. It was slow. I never saw so many 30 sec close up shots of Dennis Quaid's expressions! I never would have let that guy in my house in the first place. He did just walk in. I would have called the police right there I think.

LOL, I know! People in movies do the dumbest things! I'd have told the guy it was MY house now, and to get out or I'd call the police. I would NOT have invited him to dinner, then hired him to work around the place!
