A real depressing film with Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, and naomi Watts.

It sounded like it would be depressing from the previews I saw. I'm glad I didn't waste my money on it!

Thanks for the review!

I've found a lot of the movies I've watched lately are very dark. I feel a movie like this is supposed to be more thought provoking. Not sure if that makes sence to you.

I was entertained by this movie, it was CERTAINLY depressing, no doubt, but also VERY thought provoking!!

i do agree with you that movies seem to have "dark sides" to them lately.

My Dh couldn't get into it either, so I completely GET where you're coming from. He's not much for dark movies, lately it seems like not a lot we've been watching has been either bit uplifting!! Well, except for Love Actually, I LOVED that movie, it was such a feel good kinda thing :o)

Finally watched it this past weekend. Liked it but it was hard to follow. I doubt I would ever watch it again.
