I liked this movie. I went into it knowing it would probably not be as good as the book, which I had just finished, and so wasn't disappointed at that, but was also pleasantly surprised.

I didn't read the book. I find that when I read a book that is made into a movie, I'm very disappointed with the movie, so I try to avoid that.

I saw Eat, Pray, Love with my honey. I thought it was flat, it was just ok, not a movie I'd care to see again, and not one that will ever make it into my small movie library. I just thought it was bland. I had high hopes for a chick flick and was disappointed.

Welcome to the board! I admit, I probably liked this movie more because I saw it with three friends on a "girls' night out" thing, and I agree, I wouldn't buy it for my own collection, but for part of a fun outing with friends and to give us dreams of taking off to "find ourselves", it was fun.
