In light of wordyone's review of Ladykillers, ;) I got to thinking about Tom Hanks movies. He's been in so many good ones it makes you wonder why he does one like Ladykillers. So my question is: What is your favorite Tom Hanks movie?

For me it is close between Forest Gump and Castaway but I'll have to go with Castaway. I love that movie...in spite of the ending. :) And he lost all that weight!

That is a tough question, but a good one!

I'm going to say Road to Perdition, because it was such a different role for him, but he did it so well!

For me it is easier to list the one I DON'T like...."Joe Versus The Volcano" and after reading the review of "Lady Killers" I may be adding that to my list.

Hmm, I loved him in Phidelphia and Cataway, Tom Hanks is an amazing actor!! But Forest Gump rules for me, thats one of my all time favorite movies too!!

I haven't seen Road to Perdition, although I want to!! I'm afraid to watch Ladykillers, I haven't heard a lot of good about it, I don't want it to make me change my view of Tom Hanks, I believe he's one of the best actors of our time!!

I agree, and The Ladykillers won't change my opinion of him. Anyone can have a bad role. And I think I disliked it more for the other actors and the situation than for TH's performance.

Forrest Gump is probably my all time favorite movie and TH was perfect for the role.

I have never watched The Green Mile but have heard nothing but good about it. I'll have to remember that when I go to the video store...or the library, where they are free for a week...they'll even order movies for you if they are in the system of area libraries.

Oh, yes! You have to see that one! It is sooo good! I don't buy many dvds, but that's one I had to have!
