How did your weekend go? Did you have a chance to see any movies?

My weekend was pretty good. Nothing too special, but nice. One of my brothers in law and his wife stopped by yesterday. They had been to a wedding near us, so stopped off for a visit on their way home.

I saw parts of The Shawshank Redemption - again. I love that movie, lol. And I rented Hidalgo. I liked it a lot, though more for the horses than anything, lol. Even dh sat through it, and that's not like him!

How about you?

I had a GREAT weekend. Some friends from a different board at ivillage took a road trip and came to St Louis. We stayed in a hotel together and went to many sites, the Arch, the Brewery, the zoo, the Cards game Friday night. Although I had never met these women before, we had a great time and laughed our heads off all weekend. I really hated to see them go.

We all went to the $1.50 theater Thurs and saw Shrek 2, second time for me, but it was still funny and I caught a lot of things I didn't at the drive-in. DD and I watched Lilo and Stitch again last night. It's a good one.

Yes I love The Shawshank Redemption, it's one of my favorites. I bought The Stand at a yardsale for $1.00, a two tape set. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to read the book before watching the movie. It is a looong book and apparently a long movie.

Have a good day!

I really liked The Replacements, too. More than I thought I would!

Wow, no a/c in theaters? That's where people without a/c go to get cool, around here! I didn't think there was anywhere they didn't have almost chilly movie theaters.

Well, maybe not the dark ages, but it does show how spoiled we are here in the States!
