How many of you have the day off today? My husband does, although he'll probably work harder around here than he does at work!

How was your holiday weekend (or, for the Canadians, your weekend?) Did you see any movies?

I saw two movies! Spiderman 2, as I reviewed on Saturday, and last night I watched Independence Day on TV. I don't know why, I've seen it 2 or 3 times already, but it kind of sucked me in, lol. Dh watched it too, most of it anyway, and kept saying "This is Independence Day?" Why don't I remember most of it? LOL! I think the only part he remembered was when Will Smith was dragging the alien across the desert in his parachute ("I coulda been at a barbeque!!"), and he came in after that scene.

But, as dh says, that's the good thing about having no memory - everything is new to you! ROFLOL!

So tell me about your July 4th weekend.

Friday we went to Six Flags where I got a bad sunburn. It rained a lot too which made the lines nonexistant so that was good.

Sunday we went to Fair St Louis and watched the Purina Border Collie show since we have a BC and then the air show. Then came home as thousands of people were streaming in to get a place for the fireworks show. We watched a smaller fireworks show from the back of the SUV in our little town.

That's about it. It looks like the rain isn't stopping soon so I am catching up on housework today and resting. DH is working a little. He's out doing errands. We signed up on Netflix for a month, after we got 2 weeks free, and I am enjoying that. We can get older and more obscure movies and new releases. The service is great. They come in 1-2 days. We may just do it for a month for the summer but it's fun and no running videos back at the last minute!

I did that Netflix free trial, too. I loved getting the movies right to my door, but I didn't need an extra expense. Not when I can rent older movies at Family Video for a dollar!
