Got any funny/odd movie related stories?

When I was responding to Lori about how I liked a lot of space around me, it reminded me of a couple things that happened to me a few years ago. One kind of funny, kind of sweet and the other, almost creepy.

One was at the theater, during Titanic. I was with a small group of people, I don't remember who (I've seen the movie about 3 times, with different people), but I know my dd was there. The place was packed and an elderly woman was sitting next to me. About half way through the film, I felt someone sort of pulling on the arm I had resting on the armrest. The elderly woman had a soft shawl or blanket and thinking, I'm sure, she was tucking it around herself, was, instead, tucking it around MY arm! LOL!

So there I was, not wanting to embarrass the woman, but wanting my arm back (and not wanting her to freak when and if she found a strange arm under her blanket, lol!), trying to eeaase my arm off the armrest and out from under the blanket without her knowing it.

She, however, caught my movement, realized what she'd done and apologized profusely. I assured her it was fine (actually, it was kind of nice! lol!) and she re-tucked her shawl - minus my arm.

And then there was the time when I was with my dd. I don't remember the movie, maybe dd does, but the theater was far from full. In fact, it was almost empty. Nevertheless, a guy walked in, looked all around, then came over and with a "Hi!", sat in the seat next to me! (Whoop! Whoop! Personal Space Violation!) I think my dd asked if I wanted to move, and I wish we had, but he wasn't a creepy guy, wasn't doing anything wrong, and I didn't want to offend him by moving (and what if he moved, too??? eeew!). But I was so unnerved by it, I really don't remember anything about the movie!

How about you? anything funny, odd, or even embarrassing (if you care to tell us) happen to you during a movie?

Only thing I can think of is when I was at the theater with my then boyfried and the theater was pretty full and a couple sat next to us. At some point in the movie the guy that had sat next to us leaned over and whisperd to me what do you want to do after the movie? He quickly realized that I wasn't his girlfriend and was very embarred, but I just thought it was too funny.

I have a few;

We went to see Arachnaphobia and my brother, friend and I were in a row with only three seats. It looked odd, but the row was perfectly lined with the others. Anyways I had my feet on the chair in front of me, there was a scene where a spider jumps and I jumped up, kicked some guy in the head and our whole roll flipped backwards! There was so much ickiness on the floor, my brother was actually stuck to it!

Another time another friend and I went to see Fear and we were the ONLY two people in the theater. We were slumped down in our seats and 10 minutes into the film two TALL guys walked in and sat right in front of us! The WHOLE theater and the sit in front of us. My friend is like "You have got to be kidding me." The guys moved over two spots.

I was eating a kit kat and told my mom I would have to do lots of sit ups after all this candy. This guy next to me said "If you give me half, you would not have to do so many." Cracked me up and the guy got A peice.

Saw a film with a guy and another girl. Half way through the film, John jumps up and looks right at Robin and myself and yells "Kiss you, I just met you!" Then he ran out of the theater. Very embarrasing, but the theater goers that it was funny.

There are many more, but I will leave it at that.

Those are pretty funny. And your poor brother, falling into all that stuff! eww!

The first one you mentioned reminded me of something that happened when my dd and I were at the second Jurrassic Park movie (the Lost World?). I don't know if she was just moving her foot at that moment, or had her feet on the back of the guy in front of her's seat, but when a Raptor popped it's head into a hole a kid was just about to go through, the whole theater gasped and jerked back, and my dd involuntarily kicked the back of the seat ahead of her. Hard! And the seats were rocking type seats. ....That poor guy is probably still wearing a neck brace from the whiplash he must have got!
