I did Sat night. My DH was in a sour mood so my dd and I said let's go to a comedy at the $1.50 theater. We went to Ron Burgandy, Anchorman or whatever the name of it was. We lasted about 15 minutes and all agreed it was so distastful we had to leave. Especially embarassing scenes for my 12 yr old dd.

That's what I get for not reading a review first or screenit.com

I never have, but there have been a few I've been tempted to leave.

I almost had to walk out on The Blair Witch Project. Not because I was offended or frightened, but because it was making me sick, LOL! I get really motion sick when I watch something done with a moving hand held camera or in games like Doom. I didn't realize the movie was done that way almost all the time! I managed to stay by not looking right at the screen a lot of the time, but unfortunately I don't think I got the full impact of the movie, lol!

That's interesting. Kind of like being seasick? I can see where that would happen.

I also was tempted to walk out on Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise. I hated this movie so much I was in too much shock to walk out. I thought it was the end of TC's career for sure! But he has redeemed himself to me since then. :) No offense if some of you liked this movie, I guess a lot of people did.

No, but there were a few that I would have liked to.

we've almost walked out of two movies...but it was like a train wreck, you just couldn't look away. the movies were The Astronauhts Wife (sp?) HORRIBLE!!!! and Turbulance HORRIBLE!!!! there's been movies where i've walked out wanting to write to the director and ask for my two hours of life back! Oh! and the third Austin Powers movie Goldmember. Now...i love austin powers but HATED!!!! goldmember. too much of the same old jokes and too many obivious things like with fat bastard...and the whole "shh!" bit. it made me sad but glad i didn't have to pay any money to see it, i borrowed it from the library.

" . . . but it was like a train wreck, you just couldn't look away"

LOL, I love this analogy! I've seen movies like that (Adaptation comes to mind), but thankfully I was at home watching them, so I could have stopped, but somehow, I just couldn't stop! I think, in a movie like that, you keep watching, thinking "This has GOT to get better!" - But it doesn't!

you just keep holding on for dear life that some good will come out of this movie. i mean you think with all the money that goes into it there's got to be SOMETHING good. but theres not. another movie that i thought of was the brotherhood of the wolf. it was so funny...we went and saw it with a bunch of other people and when it was over people were like "yeah this was good and i liked this and that" but steve(my DH) and i turned around and were like "umm...no. this sucked" then everyone was like yeah your right...it was funny.
