Saw this over the weekend. Meh. I didn't find it funny with the exception of maybe 3 or 4 scenes/comments, if that. Really bummed. It wasn't awful, decent storyline, but maybe I just built it up too much?

Anyone else see it?

That's the problem with supposedly hilarious movies. If they're built up too much, they're just not that funny.

One of the funniest movies I ever saw was "Kingpin," because I rented it knowing nothing about how hilariously rude it was. One of the least funny was "There's Something About Mary," because by the time I saw it, EVERYONE had seen it and told me how hysterical it was. It wasn't.

I think that's part of my problem — I'm not a big funny rude fan, so I think that aspect of it turned me off. But I guess I should have known because unfortunately, that seems to be they way Melissa McCarthy goes in films, and I love her as an actress. Bummer. I was hoping for funny like The Proposal.

That's the problem with supposedly hilarious movies.  If they're built up too much, they're just not that funny.
