I may have enjoyed this movie more if I hadn't read the book first, but I did, and, as usual, the book was better than the movie.

The movie started out well, staying fairly close to the story line of the book, but it was like they suddenly realized they were running long so they rushed through the ending sequence of events, skipping many key scenes and drastically changing others and therefore changing the whole fatalistic "feel" that the book gave me and leaving me feeling rather annoyed with the movie.

I do recommend it, though. It isn't a bad movie, and is worth seeing, but I warn you - if you really liked the book, you probably won't like the movie as much.

I thought this movie was very sad. I didn't get to read the book but had heard from others also that it was better than the movie. Maybe I'll try to read it sometime.

Be prepared for the book to be sadder. It gets into the individual feelings and motives behind the characters.

This movie was incredible, very dark, but very moving.

I've recommended it A LOT, but I've also warned that its very depressing. Everything that could went wrong!!

Didn't read the book, I'll have to look for it!!
