My name is Pam, I'm a sahm to 3 awesome kids!! Dh and I don't go to the movies often (enough, lol) but we rent many movies every week.

I LOVE watching movies, and I'm a real special feature freak, well thats what DH calls me, lol ;)

Someone mentioned the game Scene It, that is an AWESOME game for ANY movie buff!! I saw a kids/family version at Walmart the other day, I'll be getting that one for our oldest, she loves movies too!!

The most recent movie I saw was Man under Fire, I think thats what its called. Its the Denzel Washinton, Dakota Fanning, Marc Anthony and Mickey Rourke film.

Its awesome, very violent, but an awesome movie, but be forewarned not for someone that can't handle violence!!

The ending was great, it suited THIS particular movie!!

Some others I've recently rented:

Monster: I thought it was a good movie with an amazing transforation from Godly looking to hellish looking!! I didn't want to see this movie for the longest time because I felt it was listed as being based on a true story, but so much of it was false that I had a difficult time with the idea of it. But I put that aside and watched it, and as a movie (not a true story) it was amazing!!

Bad Santa: Hmm, this one is hard for me because it was VERY crude, but oh so funny!! I felt guilty SO many times for laughing it was THAT crude!!

Twisted: Good thriller. I LOVE Ashley Judd and Samuel L Jackson is my favorite actor, so this one would've had to have been really bad for me NOT to like it ;)

Mystic River: Very dark, but outstanding acting!! Sean Penn is my hero!!

21 Grams: Again Sean Penn is my hero, this is also VERY dark a little confusing as it bounces all over the place, but superb acting!!

Big Fish: Dh didn't like this one, but I DID!! If you can get past the Tim 'Burtoness' of the movie and really get the meaning, its AWESOME and very touching!!

Hidalgo: I adore Viggo Mortensen, this movie is great, Dh loved the adventure nature of it too!!

Starsky and Hutch: Dh loved it I didn't. I thought it was oh so sad in a stupid kinda way!! He was a HUGE S&H fan, so go figure!!

Paycheck: I loved this movie, I thought Uma Thurman and Ben Afleck were great. Very different, but entertaining all the same!!

Love Actually: This movie was awesome, Hugh Grant is oh so loveable!! This movie made me feel so warm and fuzzy inside!!

Hmm, I can't think of anymore right now.

But thats me in a nut shell, I LOVE movies, it takes me away from my reality :o)

Hi Pam! Welcome to the Movies board! We seem to like the same movies, since I agree with many of your reviews. I look forward to getting to know you better and read your thoughts on upcoming movies.

Oops, sorry! I should have put my "cl hat" on to welcome you, so you'd know I was the "cl-wordyone" listed above, lol. I'm notorious for forgetting to put it on - and for forgetting to take it off in other boards, LOL!

Thanks for the welcomes, your all too sweet :o)

I find going out to the movies are far too expensive for us, once we pay for the admission, pop corn and a drink, then the baby sitter. Its cheaper to BUY a DVD rather than go see a movie in the theatre!!!

I really love Hugh Grant too, I loved him in Notting Hill as well. He's so sweet looking!! And I love him in romatic comedy's!!

Cold Mountain is now one of my all time favs, that movie broke my heart in places and then completely warmed my heart in others!! I love movies that can do that to me!! I feel the same way about Titanic!!
