What does everyone think of Nicholas Sparks? Love his books and love his movies...this one comes out in March and stars Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear and Kelly Preston. I thought the trailer looked pretty good - romantic, sentimental, set against a beautiful backdrop....

I really liked The Notebook and The Horse Whisperer
(the book). I haven't seen any of his other movies.

Miley seems a little young to be playing a romantic
lead, in my opinion.

I can think of other actresses who might be better in that part than Miley Cyrus, but it does look like it could be a cute movie.

Yeah, generally the books and his movies don't disappoint so definitely giving this one the benefit of the doubt! And a fun fact about the movie: Sparks actually wrote the screenplay first, with Miley in mind for the role, and then wrote the novel...so I find it interesting you think she doesn't fit the role. I'm pretty interested to see her in a role outside of Hannah Montana actually!

Ah, yeah, I can see that being the case for some people! I think the reason she chose to do this is to get away from her Hannah Montana character (the show is ending soon, after all). I know that she saw A Walk To Remember and really liked it, and that movie helped another pop singer (Mandy Moore) move into the dramatic acting world, so maybe this is a good thing for her! We'll have to see....

Just wanted to update everyone: the movie's release date has been moved up to March 31st - just two days sooner. And new pics(http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00030517.html) - I'm pretty interested to see the relationship between Miley's character and Greg Kinnear's character....

Thanks for the update. It will be interesting to see Miley Cyrus breaking out of the Hannah Montana role.

I can't wait to see it. I don't know if I will get a chance to see it in the theater, but I will definitely get the DVD.

The movie opens tomorrow! I'm pretty excited to check it out this weekend, with my box of tissues in hand :) I've been hearing some great things about Greg Kinnear in this - it sounds like he puts in a pretty amazing performance in this. Not that that's a surprise :) But I'm also looking forward to seeing what Miley has to offer!

I don't think I'll see it in a theater, but I am interested enough in it that I'll rent it on dvd when it comes out.
